hi    system 30016097 (MEDION AKOYA P7627T MD 98473 ) was shipped with  Bios 2.04, but recent version  is 6.05 to be run as Winflash version https://cdn.medion.com/downloads/software/00_Bios_nb_c17a_win.zip Unzip 00_Bios_nb_c17a_win.zip file and run WinC17AMD.605.exe as admin from Windows surface afterwards.   we would not advise doing a BIOS update unless the unit is bugging/crashing or they have changed hardware and the unit is not performing correctly. If it is working normally then no need to upgrade. Hello @AlanMc74 ,   Do you have the MSN of your device (8 digits long found on a sticker on the unit) and the current BIOS version you have.   We can then verify if there are any updates available. Also is there any particular reason you need to Update the BIOS, change of hardware for example, as it will not improve performance, just fix bugs or new hardware compatibility if requested by the PC/Laptop..       Thanks  ... Hi    Unfortunately due to the age of these devices  from 2012 it is highly unlikely that Medion will have these disks available.   When searching with the MSN number for one of these devices Search 50043019 | MEDION SERVICE SHOP on the spares site its shows no parts or disks.   Also FYI regarding this device and its cloud storage-   Western Digital continuously evaluates and improves our hardware, software, and services as security standards evolve. As a result, we've determined that it’s necessary to end support for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3. You should act now to protect your content.   On January 15, 2022, support for prior generations of My Cloud OS will end. You must upgrade to My Cloud OS 5 to continue to access your device remotely. My Cloud OS 5 contains critical security updates, and support for it is guaranteed through 2026. If you don’t upgrade your device, you’ll only be able to access it locally. After January 15, 2022, remote access, security updates, and technical support will no longer be provided. Hi @vavaux  Welcome,   please can you describe a bit more about the issue you are having? sorry, and the current BIOS version and any reason you need to update the BIOS?   You don't need to update your computer's BIOS or UEFI unless there is a specific feature or bugfix your system requires, or hardware changes. An error while updating your BIOS can brick your PC, rendering it completely inoperable. ... Mehr anzeigen

Hi @vector3d    there are several factors that may cause this, please verify     power mode is set to high performance and plug in laptop    Force game to use NVIDIA GPU not the integrated GPU    Update NVIDIA drivers    Monitor temps for throttling    Close background all apps    Lower in-game settings and enable DLSS    Ensure game is on SSD   Thanks  ... Hi @Salii    the symptoms you have described " 1 long and 2 short beeps" can be a couple of things, a problem with the video card or the display. If you believe the GPU is ok then it maybe the display that is faulty. have you tested this? Regarding using a jumper on this board MSI MS-7797 V1.1 yes it is possible however due to the age of this unit (manufactured 2012) I cannot locate any images or where the pins are located to do this. So removing the CMOS battery for 5-10 mins is all I can advise for a BIOS reset   Windows 10 may have had compatibility issues??? are you able to reinstall the old OS you were using or original Win 8 to test?    sorry I have not been more helpful.    thanks        ... hi @artemislogic  this can be  a common issue with gaming laptops when trying to use them in a “lid closed” mode with an external display. I see you’ve already tried the Windows setting (Do nothing when the lid is closed), which should prevent sleep/shutdown, but Windows still detects the built in display as disconnected when the lid closes, and that triggers display reconfiguration. Ther are a few things you can try –                Disable Lid Switch in Device Manager                Set external display as primary in Windows                Disable auto display switching in Intel/NVIDIA control panels               Check BIOS/UEFI for lid or display settings   A word of advice:- Cooling can be an issue when gaming with the lid closed.
