Why does the operating system work too slowly or crash?

Answer

If your device crashes frequently, it may have the following causes:

• Check that drivers, software and the operating system are up to date and download the latest Windows or Android updates if necessary, all driver updates and all software updates. You can find the information about the Windows instructions in this FAQ. For Android systems, you can update the operating system via the device's settings and the apps via the Google Play Store.
• If your hard disk is too full or has an error, this can lead to system crashes. First uninstall programmes that you no longer need and delete or back up your personal files to an external storage medium. Then check, repair and optimise the hard disk with Windows' own programmes (Error check, Optimise and defragment drive in the hard disk properties). You can also perform a memory clean-up in the settings of your Android device.
• You can use the Windows troubleshooter to find and fix many errors directly. You can access this directly via the search bar by entering the word Troubleshooter.
• The MEDION Service App (you can download it here) tests your Windows and Android systems for all possible sources of error and provides a result directly. Simply download it to your device, start it and if an error is detected, you can directly initiate a repair order.
