Hi @dovydasteds ,   we contacted GBT and are still waiting for response,so that I can´t promise you the publishing date of the new version. Generally you don´t lose your warranty updating drivers or other software related components of your machine, but when it´s about updating the bios version we have to provide the disclaimer, that MEDION does not accept any responsibility for damage or lost of data, caused by the execution of this update.   Cheers   Major ToM ... Hi @Mathias_E  und danke für deinen Beitrag, kannst Du einmal nahelegen, auf welchem Weg Du das ERAZER Beast X40 bezogen hast? Dann werden wir uns das Ganze mal anschauen. Fakt ist, dass jedes Gerät vor dem Verlassen der Produktionsstätte einer eingehenden Qualitätsprüfung unterzogen wird, so dass zu 100% gewährleistet ist, dass die hohen MEDION Qualitätsstandards eingehalten werden.   Kommt es zu einer Reklamation wie Deiner, wird der Angelegenheit auf den Grund gegangen. Hi @Psaldorn ,   received some feedback from the tech guys, who failed recreating the issue with the original preload(W10) and also after updating on W11. Some more thoughts: => Does the backlight also stays off,when the laptop shows POST screen. Right at this time, the drivers have not been loaded. => Did you already try to connect an external display an uninstall the drivers afterwards? =>Tech team suggest to install the new driver again, set the setup to "Custom" and then check "Reinstall".   Cheers   Major ToM   ... Hi @DrCiastovy ,   we did not question why improve such an "old laptop",I just commented on the tech facts. Get it running with 16 GB would be nice from our perspective, but we just distributed and supported it til a max capacit yof 8 GB RAM.   Cheers   Major ToM ... Mehr anzeigen

Hi @airich ,   providing the Bios file is noit necessary, but we asked to provide us the 8-digit-MSN article numer (like 1002xxxx), which is placed on the backside of the housing,to identify the machine and ensure to have the right Bios to be sent to you.   Cheers   Major ToM ... Mehr anzeigen

Hi @Oksana ,   this sounds qite strange, but if the system freezes before the operating system is fully loaded, as a quick solutiuon you could try to enter the Bios, load the system defaults in the appropriate option menue and try to start again. Hi @DrCiastovy  and thanks for the provided information.   I´d like to share my thoughts combined with a few facts on your goals.   First of all we´re taling about a PGT A35 barebone with an integrated Intel Panther Point HM77 chipset which was concepted for Intel 2nd gen platform and despite the fact, that we also distributed this series with 3rd gen. CPU it has been the Intel Core i3-3120M with a freq of 2,5 GHz, I have no reliable information, if a 37xx would be recognised but it´s obvious that the Core i7 has a many times higher heat absorption compares to the Corei3.   The max RAM capacity is 8 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM (PC3-10600/1333 MHz), so implementing 16 GB might not be sucessfull.   Anyhow, you can give it a shot and try to update your Bios version to  V 5.03 using this download, but I have to remind you about the MEDION disclaimer, that in case of any errors, caused by the execution of this update, we don´ t accept any responsibility for damage or lost of data.   Cheers   Major ToM Another hint: To mention a community user so that they are notified when you reply, write an @ sign in front of their name (e.g. @Major_Tom) ... Hi @gezzafc from the other side of the world and welcome to the MEDION Community,   let´s say it this way: Your current configuration differs from the original one (you definetely gained some partitions),so we have no option to replicate your experiences. One obvious option would be to run a clean installation of the OS with the help of the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, which might solve the reported features,but this is just a personal suggestion without any relevant background   Cheers   Major ToM ... Hi @Darious_M ,   here´s another shot, I included the files you need to update the "bios" via the device manager.   +++Installation+++ 1.Download the Bios Update 2. Unzip the downloaded fil 00_Bios_x680x_fw.zip to a folder on your hard drive 3. Open up the dev manager, go to Firmware, System Firmware and choose the option "Update driver" (see pic) 4.
