Hi @ferk, I'd contact Medion directly and ask if it is ok to open the case just to be on the safe side, but in my experience opening the case does not void the warranty, as long as you don't damage anything. If you ever need a repair you might need to restore there original spec of the PC though, so if you upgrade any parts, keep the originals. I dont know this exact motherboard, but I'd expect there to be one PCI-e 16x and two PCI-e 1x slots (one of the PCI-e 1x slots might be obscured by the graphics card though). The number of SATA ports varies alot more between different motherboards. The BIOS update can be found here.
