Hi @peterdeleu Thats the same as I see, so I think thats good, there are no other radio's added to synchronise the settings with, so thats probably why it says that there is no synchronisation set yet. Have you tried setting some new favourites with this new account? Also, I dont know if the Radio and the PC where you are accessing the site are on the same network? Mine are, but I'm not sure if this is necessary.

Hi @ciklon, I couldn't find any form of firmware online for this TV. I don't think its even possible to install any form of software on the system by yourself, there are no network or USB interfaces available on the TV, only a "service socket" which is exclusively for authorized service partners, according to the manual. Your best bet would be to contact Medion directly, though I doubt its worth it for a TV from 2006.

Hi @peterdeleu, Hmm I dont see any option on the site stating which radio's have been registered. Only when I go to My preferences > Synchronise your favourites with another Wi-Fi radio, I see a synchronised groep, with a Radio ID, I guess this is the registered radio? I think I'd just try to add another Wi-Fi radio to the account, and enter the new passkey (you get a new key everytime when you go to that option in the radio)

Hi @peterdeleu, Thats weird, I made a Favourites group named podcasts through the website, added 2 random podcasts, and by the time I got to the radio, they where already available. You'd have to set the device to the "internet radio" mode, then open the menu > Station list > Favourites, and there you should find the folder with the favourites. Is your system registered correctly to the website?

Hi, I just tested this with my P85111, and with mine it was instant,did you search for podcasts through the site, or did you add one that was not yet available on the site? If its the latter, I guess it might take some time to add them?

Hi @RicardoCruz, I've never heard of a BIOS or motherboard limiting RAM usage in such a way, normally if a motherboard does not support the placed amount of RAM, it would simply not see it or not even boot the system. Are you sure you installed a 64 Bit windows version correctly? And did you buy 2 new modules, or are you still using the original Dimm? Are the Dimms exactly the same?

Hi @ivanko, There are many different kinds of BSOD's with many different causes, could you give us some more info? what error message does the BSOD display? And when do you get the BSOD or the reboots, totally random or when running specific programs etc?

Hi @fasfas99, I dont have the same system so I cant get you the BIOS, but even then, if your BIOS is somehow corrupt, how will you be able to install the original file?

Hi @rambo, If I understand correctly, you've actually already solved most problems you have with the notebook? That might be valuable info for other users who might run into the same problems, may I ask which setting you changed exactly to solve the BSOD issues? With regards to the choice of screen, I dont think we'll be able to answer that, its a design choice of Medion, my guess it is to keep the price at the 1500 euro range, considering the system has quite hefty specs? Besides, IPS screens can have their own share of problems with bleeding etc. 😛

HI @ayoma, I've not been able to find a version of the X7831 which has a factory-installed backlit keyboard, I'm not sure if a backlit keyboard needs any additional hardware to power and / or controll the LEDs. If so, I doubt this extra hardware is available in the notebook. My guess is you wont be able to get it to function, but I dont have the possibility to test it myself, so I cant be sure.

Hi @stanislav333, Do you mean something like an online hardware test of your system? If so, to my knowledge Medion does not provide any such service. What problems are you experiencing with your notebook, perhaps members of our community can help you diagnose the problem?

Hmm I dont think rooting the device will solve the problem, my guess is its an incompatibility, or a power issue. Besides, rooting the device would also likely void your warranty and the option to return it. If you specifically need to use the Onkyo HD audio on the smartphone, then I think its best to return it if thats still possible, I dont think you will get it working :(.

As I understand it, the driver support is integrated in the newer versions of Android, but i'm far from an expert on the subject :). Have you tried testing the host function with something like a simple USB stick or keyboard or something? I dont think using a splitter is a good idea, I dont know if the phone can handle receiving power and simultaneously working in OTG mode on the same USB port.

Hi @cxb1, As far as I understand, USB Audio support is natively included in Android 5 and up, the only hardware requirement for it is a USB host port, the rest is softwarebased. I think the problem you have is similar to what is described here: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Android-5.0-Lollipop-supports-USB-DAC-audio-devices-we-go-ears-on_id66399 I think your USB DAC needs more power than the phone can supply.

Hi @REMBOIV, This could either be a defect or a conflict with installed apps or settings, I'd try resetting the phone to factory defaults, if it still has the same issues immediately after this, its most likely a defect and you'd have to sent it back for repairs I'm afraid.

Hi @Nekoriran, No signal usually points to a problem with the monitor, cable, or inside the PC with the motherboard or graphicscard. When you tested the other monitor, did you also use a different cable? If so, I'm afraid that either your motherboard or graphicscard is defective :(.

Hi @amitb3669, I have not been able to find the original firmware for this smartphone anywhere, I'm afraid its simply not available. I think your best bet is to contact Medion directly and have them flash the phone, but I doubt that would be free of charge 😞

Hi @REMBOIV, Nope, this is a forum where users try to help eachother, not a way to contact Medion. If an update is available, I think you will automatically get a message on your phone asking if you want to update. I think it is highly unlikely that Medion will support rooting a system, since this would essentially void your warranty.

Hi @REMBOIV I think in this case your best bet is to contact Medion service to see if this indicates a problem with the battery or if this is normal. Perhaps there are batteries available with more capacitiy? If not, perhaps a powerbank could be a good solution for you?

Hi @REMBOIV, So if I understand correctly, the phone drains very fast when calling or using the internet? Is this with Mobile internet? How good is your reception? The worse the connection is, the more power is needed, and the faster the battery will drain.

Hi @REMBOIV, As I understand it, you are able to work on the phone for 12 to 17 hours? That would actually be quite impressive, I'm barely able to actively work on my phone for 2-3 hours ( Depending of course on what I'm doing, which apps or connections are active, screenbrightness etc. )

Hi @yurepa, The Hitachi 5k500 is a standard size 2.5 inch notebook harddisk, any 2.5 inch notebook harddrive would fit into your notebook dimension-wise, only the thickness sometimes varies but this should not be a problem. SATA 3 is also backward compatible with SATA 2 so that should not be a problem either (you'd just not use the harddrives speed to its full potential) I think the drive you linked to should work in your notebook without any problem.

Hi @dolph, Normally when you connect a smartphone you get a small USB icon on the top of the screen, by tapping on that you should be able to choose the USB mode, either charging mode or mass storage mode. When the phone is set to charging mode, Windows will not recognize the device and it will just charge over USB. When it is set to mass storage mode, Windows should be able to install the device using generic mass storage drivers (the same drivers that are also used for usbsticks, memorycards, etc. )

I did find some old Ebay listings but all are no longer listed either, I'm afraid it is going to be hard to find this cable. Have you tried contacting Medion directly?
