Hi @johninstalbans ,    I think it might not be a power problem or your BIOS version, but rather the type of BIOS that causes the problem. Most - if not all modern cards require an UEFI BIOS to work, while your system (considering the BIOS version is 8 years old) will most likely still have a legacy BIOS.  Generally speaking, if your system originally came with Windows 7, it will probably have such a legacy BIOS, if it came with Windows 8 or higher, it wil likely be a UEFI BIOS.    If you indeed have a legacy BIOS, I'm afraid there is no easy solution for it without replacing a lot of parts :(.   ... Hi @TheGr8Destructo ,    Is a version of Intel Rapid Start or Rapid Storage installed on your system?  If so, try turning off Link power managment, I believe it is under the "Performance"  tab. I think it is some sort of energy saving option causing either the harddrive or the dvd drive to go into some sort of standby state and spinning up again if I remember correctly.      ... View more

Hi @Makembill,    The recovery partition will contain the original Windows 7 installation when the PC was originally delivered with Windows 7.  You can make your own recovery media for Windows 10 using the Media Creation Tool. Hi @Cauptain,    You should be able to enter the UEFI using the DEL-key, but you would need to restart Windows to be able to (Shutting the PC down and starting it again might not work due to fastboot).  Alternatively you could also try to go to the start menu, press your shift-key, keep it pressed, and then choose restart, all the while keeping your shift-key pressed. This would boot Windows into recovery mode, and under Advanced options you should be able to find an option to change UEFI firmware settings, which would reboot the PC to the UEFI.      ... Hi @JohnJones,    Are you sure your system supports up to 64 GB? According to this site the X7851 has 2 memory slots, and for 64 GB you'd need 4. It might be a different version of the X7851 though, what is your MSN number? Hi @Harun,    Sounds like the UEFI does not find any bootable device and because of this tries to boot from a network. Entering the UEFI with F2 should work though.  That you can't boot from the SSD before installing Windows is normal though, since there is nothing on it to boot yet. Hi @musMiro,    Was the notebook working fine up until the beer-incident? If so, I think something short-circuited somewhere as a result of the spill. If it where just a sensor giving false information, I would expect your software to show these wrong values as well since they get the info from the same sensor.  I think the best thing to do is to have a technician have a look at it, but I'm afraid it is very likely that the motherboard is broken :(.      ... It seems weird to me that such a gaming motherboard would be delivered with a Dual core CPU? Is your powersupply sufficient to support the new CPU? Hi @klept0,    That means we can rule out any problem with the app. The strange thing is that the configuration through the app requires a Wifi connection between the speaker and the tablet / smartphone with the app. Apparently that does work. According to the manual you can reset the speaker by switching the main power off for a few seconds, but I suspect you already tried that? And have you tried updating the firmware of the speaker through the app (Though I'm not sure if that works when it is not connected to a network)? Otherwise I think there might be something wrong with the speaker, especially since you tried it on 2 different networks.       ... View more

Hi @tazplan,     I don't think there is a way to controll the physical button for the Cooler Boost with software, it seems to be MSI technology.  See here for someone trying to do the same thing. As I understand it the cooler boost just makes your fans run at maximum RPM, so you should be able to reach the same effect with some fancontroller software, if you can find one that recognises your fans.      ... Hi @Rimmer,    The error messages all point towards a problem with the BIOS not saving its settings, which usually is caused by an empty BIOS battery. You still receive the same errors after replacing the battery? Did you go into the BIOS and load the optimized defaults after replacing the battery? Other than that all I can think of is either the replacement battery is also dead, or there is a problem with the motherboard.      ... View more
