Hi@Juze-81 @FirePowerr ,   Just thought I'd report back about my further adventures related to this thread.   1. I can confirm adding another 8GB 1.2 V CL22 RAM works well with the mobo and the pre-installed memory bank. I get dual channel 3200MHz. I have finally also succeeded with upgrading the BIOS to ver 1.12. However, just as the readme file indicated, there are no new exciting features enabled. Just minor bug fixes. So no possibility to use XMP profiles for the RAM memory or other useful settings.    So in short, just confirming your previous posts. No possiblity to upgrade to faster memory etc. Usually there are more advanced tabs in the bios, but they are probably hidden. Don't know if there is any way to unlock them.   If you search on the web, you find that the mobo is capable of handling RAM with XMP profiles. It is thus a manufacturer (that is Medion, I suppose) choice not to make that option available in the bios.   /plutissimo   ... View more

I eventually shut down the computer and thankfully had no problem booting it up. Checking with CPU-Z, I am still running the .107 firmware. Adventurous as I am, I tried the update process again. However no luck this time either. Now I did get an error message immediately.   Translated error text: "Windows encountered an error when the firmware should be installed. Windows found the firmware for the unit, but an error occurred when it would be installed."   Then I am encouraged to contact the manufacturer of the device. 🙂      ... View more

Hi @Major_ToM ,   Thanks for the file and the instruction. However, it doesn't seem to be working on my B660. It gets stuck in the updating firmware process and never gets past that point (see screenshot below). I let it run for over 1 hour, before trying to cancel. But now it doesn't let me do that either. Great...:-(   Any other instructions? At some point I have to shut down the computer and then we'll see what happens... If it boots up again after all...     ... View more

@Major_ToM    Tried running the WHF.bat file (as adiminstrator as instructed) but nothing happens. After approving that windos run waht it deems as un unsafe software, then... nothing. I tried multiple times.   Any other way to start this FW update?   /plutissimo   ... View more

OK. So it doesn't show if it is dual channel capable or not until there are two memory modules installed. Got it.   Hence the only way to really know is to buy and add a memory module of same specs, right? - DDR4 - 3200 MHz - 8 GB - CL 22 - 1.2 V  Anything else that needs to match?   Does anyone already know if the motherboard is dual channel capable or am I doing this for nothing? Thank you @daddle .   I haven't booted up the computer yet, as I want to make sure it is upgradeable before I do.   The RAM is a Hynix HMA81GU6DJR8N-XN. This matches: https://memory.net/product/hma81gu6djr8n-xn-sk-hynix-1x-8gb-ddr4-3200-udimm-pc4-25600u-single-rank-x8-module/ Apart from seeing that it is a quite slow CL22 memory, is there something in the spec that shows if the module works in dual channel mode?
