SLOT B Van RAM geheugen werkt niet

Ik heb  een medion E17201 MD61429 .

Er zit een Ram 8Gb in slot A. Dit werkt prima. Nu wil ik uitbreiden.  2x 16GB. 16Gb in slotA werkt goed.Stop ik dan 16Gb in slot B erbij dan zie ik wel het lampje van de laptop branden maar doet verder niets.  Heb beide geheugen geprobeerd in slot A afzonderlijk dan gaat het goed.   1 in slotB dan  start de laptop niet op. Kan de laptop 32 Gb niet aan?

@JvE Volgens de specificaties van jouw moederbord, kan deze max. 2x8Gb (16GB) aan. De specificaties kan je raadplegen via:

I have to confess, that I have been stumbeling over the fact with the differing maxiumum RAM compatibility and the truth (and nothing but the truth) ist, that we relied on different source when creating the product database articles of the MEDION AKOYA E17201 laptop series.

As a point the maximum expendable for this laptop model (which has been tested inhouse) is 8 Gigabyte RAM.
Besides that fact (and from my personal point of view) I would give it a shot and get the machine to a expert store, where you have the option to check the compatibility of different modules.

Please also ensure, that you have running the current Bios version M15GRMD208 on your machine. If you not obtain it, we can provide it.

Dat lijkt mij meer een type- of verwijzingsfout. De genoemde 8 GB heeft waarschijnlijk slechts betrekking op één slot. Maar er zijn twee slots.

Omdat  @JvE  wil uitbreiden naar 32 GB, heeft hij een module van 16 GB in één slot geplaatst en het werkt. In gleuf B niet.

Aangezien er zijn  twee bestaande slots A en B, en 16 GB werkt in slot A, vermoed ik dat de computers met hun twee slots 2x8 = 16 GB in totaal kan bevatten.

@JvE   Voor de zekerheid kunt jij  in het BIOS naar de pagina met de geheugeninformatie gaan en, op pagina 1 of onder Geavanceerd, nakijken hoeveel GB als opslagcapaciteit wordt herkend als u alleen de 16 GB memory  in sleuf A hebt?

I got a deeper dive in the topic and with this E17201 Gemini Lake Refresh laptop series we did not distribut united with more than 8 GB  (1 x 8 GB or 2 x 4 GB) RAM capacity, which means we havent any experience values with larger numbers.
Due to that I commented to check options in an expert shop, even we currently do not know which Bios version JvE is running.
