Hi everyone, I bought a new notebook medion erazer major x20 md 62520 (MSN30035496) and I'm encountering two problems: 1- the battery not charging specifically, the battery is always at 0% and as soon as I connect the charger the red LED flashes for a few minutes, then remains solid red for a few more minutes and then turns off. The charger works correctly because I tried with a voltmeter and 19.9v comes out as expected
2- there are problems with the in-game wattage of the RTX 4070 video card which does not go beyond 30W of power causing low fps. I checked that the various driver and Windows settings were set correctly or even set "maximum performance" but nothing changed.Another strange thing is that the GPU clock in the menu is correct while in game it drops, and vice versa the percentage of clock usage. Could it be bios related? (i'm on bios 1.07med02 and ec 0.30). I saw a post with a similar problem and it was solved with a bios and ec update https://community.medion.com/t5/ERAZER-Gaming/Erazer-Major-X20-MD62525-NEED-LATEST-BIOS-UPDATE/td-p/...
Can i eventually update bios to gmxpx7xn109med06 and ec GMxPXxx_11.600?
The battery problem doesn't bother me by always using it connected to the AC but I would like to solve the gpu wattage problem as long as it is not related to the battery problem which perhaps does not receive enough voltage to recharge and make the whole thing work properly.
Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if this may be reason ( battery 0% + CMOS battery = low GPU tdp). If I open up the laptop to check that battery cables are correctly connected will the Medion warranty expire?

I haven't seen a Laptop yet without a separate CMOS battery. What would happen if
the main battery is drained completely, or breaks down?

Makes sense, what do I have to do to send the laptop in for repairs?

Check with your dealer.
Or phone Medion Service in your Country; I do not know which country you are from.

I'm from Italy. Ok I will text the dealer where I bought the laptop, they should send someone at my house to pick up the laptop as per Medion warranty service, right?

I do not know Italian regulations about guarantee procedures. Just try it that way.
This is the Italian Medion Service page:

I used the link you sent to contact them to use the warranty and they didn't even answer, it's been 3 days

Then you have to wait. Or try it per phone. I am no Medion employee, and can not say anything about the "Italian way" to solve guarantee probs. 🙂

Well, we Italians surely should learn something from swiss about punctuality.
