Many thanks @Igor28 for offering this diagnosis process. I tried an external display via HDMI : no problem there. The pink line does not appear on the monitor. So I tried deactivating the Nvidia graphics via the Nvidia Control Panel to use only the Intel integrated graphics : after rebooting the laptop, the problem is stilll present. So, according to your reasoning, the issue is with Intel GPU. So I downloaded the Intel Driver and Support Assistant. It found an update available for the Intel UHD Graphics, so I installed it. After rebooting the laptop, the problem is still present. So now I understand I need a full install of this new driver, as the update didn't suffice. I downloaded the DDU utility, but it is a bit technical process and I will need to make time for it. So I'll keep you posted on that clean install but for now I wanted to share the progress I've already made so far.
