Hello All, My 4 year old Akoya has been playing up for some days then last week it failed to boot properly. i tried using the Windows Recovery media on the USB drive to no avail i dropped it into a local PC repair shop but they have advised the SSD drive (which is an eMMC) is trashed and can’t be repaired by anything OR replaced as it is soldered to the main board! They did try installing a SDD SATA drive to install the OS on that but again could not work around the trashed eMMC drive. Is there anything I can try to recover the notebook or is it at the end of life? Thanks in anticipation of your advise/suggestions

I have resisted upgrading to Windows 11 in case of problems, so I will stay well clear! Thanks for the warning Andrew!

Good Morning fellas! An update from me! My issue with this was fixed on the 12th March, but reappeared this morning (26th March). I went into Device Manager to look at the driver and it had updated to the latest version. However, on this occasions I have the option to "Roll back" the driver (that option wasn't there previously). I clicked on this option and reported why I was rolling back (repeating letters when typing), and it rolled back to the previous version immediately! I have re-booted and the problem is resolved I don't know whether or not I will regularly have to keep doing the same? Regards and thanks for all your help!

@AndrewP I didn't notice any problem with the icon spacing and/or line spacing in File Explorer?

Thank you @daddle ! That worked like a charm! The driver is now the earlier version and my repeating keyboard errors appear to be fixed! Hurray, I owe you a pint!

@daddle - thank's for your response. I am on Build 19042.867 When I right click the extracted .inf file, what option should I select? Install? It doesn't aappear to do anything?

@AndrewP - i have the 2.2.1.384 driver installed and unfortunately, the "Roll back" option is greyed out, so I can't do that! I have downloaded the earlier driver but aam having no luck gettting it unzipped and insttalled? I have installed 7Zip and can unzip it, but do I need to unzip to a specific loccation to get it tto replace the later verrsion? You can see from the above what the issue is doing to my typing!

@toryglen and @daddle Sorry chaps, I can't seem to get this thing sorted! I have found the cab files and I thought I had extracted iit to a location on my hard drive (Downloads)> However, when I go into Device Manager and select HID Keyboardd and try to Update the DDriver, it reports back thatat the best driver is s already installed? Can you advise what I am doing wrong please?

I’m experiencing the exact same problem with my Akoya E3222 -MD63310 laptop i have just registered the issue with Medion but found no solution so came her to this forum and have found your suggested fix, which I will now try! wish me luck! i will report back if successful!
