Hi @kennie46

Which smartphone is it, and which Android version is on it?

On my phone (Android 5.0.2) I get a message stating "connected in charging mode" when I swipe down from the top of the screen, when I tap on it, i can Choose "media-device (MTP)" which can be used for file transfer. When this is selected I can find the phone under Windows Explorer and copy files to it.

Hope this helps a bit 🙂

Kind regards,
Bart

Hi @kennie46

Yeah thats normal, after that, the phone should be visible on your PC on Windows Explorer, and you should be able to drag files to the phone.

This all happens on your PC, the phone doesnt show any of this process.

Kind regards,
Bart

Hi kennie,

If you're trying to download music to your Medion smartphone, the key is enabling file transfer mode when connecting to your PC. When you plug in the phone, it may default to charging mode—you need to swipe down from the top, tap the notification, and select "Media Device (MTP)" for file transfer. If your screen goes back to the home screen after selecting MTP, that's normal—the transfer process happens on your PC, not on your phone. Once MTP is selected, open Windows Explorer on your computer, find your phone under "This PC", and simply drag and drop Spotify app music files into the appropriate folder. If your PC still doesn’t recognize the phone, try a different USB cable or port. Hope this helps!

Regards
