Question

Why does the ventilation of my E15301 / E15302 notebook constantly turn on and off?

Answer

In the download area of our service page a BIOS (V 13.2) + EC update for the MEDION AKOYA E15301/E15302 notebooks is available with a detailed download description, which further optimises the fan speed.

System-BIOS: Version AP618_MED_V0.13.2_M00P1T0G0_20201118

EC-BIOS: Version AP618_20210122

Istallation note1

  1. Unpack the downloaded file into the root directory (base directory) of a FAT32 formatted USB stick.
  2. When restarting the notebook, immediately press the F2 key several times in succession to enter the BIOS setup.
  3. In the BIOS, use the arrow keys to move to the Security menu and in the Secure Boot setting, set the Secure Boot option to Disabled.
  4. Then change to the Save & Exit menu and confirm your selection in the Save Options submenu with Save Change.
  5. Then select your USB stick in the submenu Boot Override with Enter and the update will start automatically after approx. 5 seconds.

⚠️Note⚠️ Some BIOS values may have changed after the update. Therefore, any changed parameters should be noted down beforehand.
