How do I proceed with the error message: Too little storage space due to a full temp folder?

If you have used Disk Cleanup to free up space on your device, and then this error message is displayed, it is likely that the temp folder is quickly being filled with application files (.appx) used by the Microsoft Store.

To solve this problem, the following four steps are necessary:

1. Reset the Windows Store
Select to reset the Microsoft Store:

• Start
• Settings
• Update and security
• Troubleshooting

Scroll all the way down, select Windows Store apps from the list and then click Run troubleshooter.

2. Clearing the store cache
To delete the Microsoft Store cache, press the key combination Windows + r to open the Run dialogue.

Type in wsreset.exe and click on OK. An empty prompt window is opened and opens and closes again after about ten seconds. The store is then displayed automatically and you can close it again immediately.

3. Run the troubleshooter for Windows Update
Select to reset Windows Update:

• Start
• Settings
• Update and security
• Troubleshooting

Scroll down, select Windows Update from the list and then click Run troubleshooter.

4. Restart the computer
Restart your computer. The problem should no longer occur.
