Erazer MAJOR 15 X1 Overheats and Shuts Down at Idle Mode – Urgent Help!

Hello Medion community,
I have a serious heating problem with my Erazer MAJOR 15 X1 model computer and the device is only 3 days old, I need your experiences. I will explain the problem in detail:

Case 1: I left the computer idle and went to the market. When I returned, the device was too hot to touch (the keyboard/case was practically burning). The screen was off and the system was completely off.

Case 2: The same situation happened again. Each time, the device got unusually hot while idle (no applications open) and I found it turned off.

Last Case: Finally, when I pressed a key on the keyboard to wake up the computer, the device suddenly turned off completely and was very hot again.

Details;
The BIOS and drivers seem to be up to date.
Everything is normal when the device is running and even under load.

My questions;
- Is cooling system failure common in this model? Could the fans not be working when idle?
- Do you think there could be a problem with the motherboard or power supply?
- Should I apply to an authorized service for intervention under warranty?

Hello @yunusebaran  and welcome,

this doesn't start off well. but ultimately the question doesn't even arise. This is of course a guarantee and should be reported immediately and support informed. if possible exchange directly

The device was in "Silent" mode, could this be the reason? Now I put it in "Balance" mode and repeated the scenarios I had experienced, but this time I did not experience the same problem. @Fishtown

I want to ask one more thing, do you think this device I bought is a good device? @Fishtown

@yunusebaran

The best thing would be to return the laptop and cancel the purchase if this is possible in your country. Otherwise the PC must be checked and repaired in the workshop.
You do still have guarantee on it.

Cheers, daddle

Hello @yunusebaran
No matter what mode you set the device in, it should never overheat. If the device switches itself off for your own safety, then something is definitely wrong. ("Heat build-up" wasn't written on a wool blanket?)
Even if you set the fan curve too far down, the device will adjust it back if necessary.
To the equipment.
That sounds very good. Unfortunately, the device has only been on the market since November and no test results can be found yet.
