ERAZER X7847 keyboard

I am trying to find a keyboard for this as the W no longer works.

How do i take the keyboard out of the laptop?

I cannot see how i can get a blade in the top like any other laptop.

There is a laptop screw underneath though.

Anyone know how?

Mine is the version that is backlit etc

I have managed to remove the keyboard. I slid a pry tool under the top left corner of the keyboard.

Prior to this I removed the two screws under the laptop to remove the keyboard.

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

For removing the keyboard: possible answer is already posted in a similar thread (search function usually helps)

Anyway:

First check around keyboard for holder marks like the one in pic (above ESC)

See on this video how the keyboard can be removed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joLnSK9N-uU

The lack of marks means different holding system and in that case ignore everything I said.

Other than that you might consider the warranty before removing the laptop's covers or keyboard.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.

There is no keyboard holder points to access hence my post.

There is no warranty on this as its over 3 years old.

As for the video that is not the model I have and not relevant sadly.

Just by luck I managed to find a new replacement keyboard.

It was a Chinese seller on Ebay.

I have a UK machine and their keyboard was a USA model.

It took me over an our to get it spot on but it's finally in and working fine. The LED works but not 100% like the OEM.

That being said for £38 UK pounds i am very happy.

Hi @Fishtown  and thank you for the reply.

I needed a UK keyboard or at the very least US.

I now have it fully working. I imagine they are both the same as most are made in China.

Item came from China in less than a week too.

£38 Uk pounds to boot!
