Two weeks ago I got a 'blue screen' when starting my laptop which wasn't resolved via system restore. I ended up refreshing my Windows and the blue screen error was removed. From that point on, whenever I have turned the laptop on it has required three presses of the power button before the laptop eventually boots.
I get an error message that says "CMOS Message. A first boot or NVRAM reset condition has been detected. (If you continue to see this message, consult the system user's guide for more information.) Press Enter (OK)"
I read that this likely related to a CMOS battery failure and have replaced the battery today but the error persists (I think the battery was replaced correctly as I had to reset the time when the laptop booted).
Does anyone have any ideas about how this fault could be fixed? Is it a BIOS issue?
Basic info is below - any help is appreciated!

Hi @Barry2934 and welcome
"Load Setup Defaults" Load in the bios. That was the solution here:

Hello @Fishtown - thank you for replying to me quickly and for advising of a solution. I appreciate it. I selected the 'Load Setup Defaults' in the BIOS and my laptop has booted up fine without the error from shutdown.
I'll check it again tomorrow to make sure the error doesn't replicate again, but a huge thank you to you for your help and advice.
Thanks

Sadly loading the Set up Defaults did not resolve the issue. I turned on my laptop today, the power button did not work, I pressed it a second time and got a 'blue screen' stop error. The device restarted and went into Automatic Repair mode and then when I pressed Restart it booted up as normal.
