Two weeks ago I got a 'blue screen' when starting my laptop which wasn't resolved via system restore. I ended up refreshing my Windows and the blue screen error was removed. From that point on, whenever I have turned the laptop on it has required three presses of the power button before the laptop eventually boots. I get an error message that says "CMOS Message. A first boot or NVRAM reset condition has been detected. (If you continue to see this message, consult the system user's guide for more information.) Press Enter (OK)" I read that this likely related to a CMOS battery failure and have replaced the battery today but the error persists (I think the battery was replaced correctly as I had to reset the time when the laptop booted). Does anyone have any ideas about how this fault could be fixed? Is it a BIOS issue? Basic info is below - any help is appreciated!
