Hello.
I've recently acquired a Medion PC - model PC MT 14, type MED MT717, art.-nr.
10015348. It's based on a H67H2-EMv1.0 (nr. 20049276) motherboard made by ECS.
It was having some stability problems, so - in an attempt to remedy the issue
- I decided to start by updating the BIOS to the latest version. Unfortunately,
I was in a hurry and didn't notice that I had downloaded the BIOS for a H67H2-M
made and sold by ECS (which ranks 1st in Google search results for [H67H2-EM]).
After the update the motherboard won't POST (black screen, no POST beeps).
I have a SPI flash programmer which I could use to write a proper BIOS image.
I am in need of a working BIOS dump for the H67H2-EMv1.0 - it can be any BIOS
version so long as it's compatible. It should weigh exactly 4MBytes.
I also ask for an official BIOS update to the latest version available for the
H67H2-EMv1.0.
Best regards,
Michał K.

It's funny, both rom-files extracted - M1_0208.ROM and M1_0619.ROM - are bit for bit identical.
Just for information.

Hi @mkcarolus,
unpleasant situation I´d say and the only option we can offer you except of sending the unit to the repair center, is to download the Version 0208 by clicking the link down below.
Size of the .rom file is about 2.6 MB, but maybe you can get things in the right shape with it:

Are you sure the provided update is meant for the H67H2-EMv1.0? The filename
contains "h81h3em". I also vaguely recall that the BIOS version prior to
flashing was 0304, so version 0208 would probably be much older and possibly
incompatible with a newer Intel ME version.
I don't know if I'll be able to figure out the offset at which I need to write
a smaller BIOS image and if the rest of the data already on the BIOS chip will
be compatible (enough) for the motherboard to POST.
I appreciate the help and I'll try to use the file you provided (having a backup
of the mess I've made by mistakenly flashing the H67H2-M BIOS), but I'm still
hoping someone will eventually post a complete BIOS dump suitable for writing
using a SPI flash programmer.

Yeah @mkcarolus ,
you are right, I accidently chose the wrong file. Doublecheked it with tech dept and received version 0619, which can be downloaded here
This is the one and only Bios version he have for that board.

Hi at all,
I know this is an old thread but I have found them while looking for a BIOS update for the Medion H67H2-EM v1.0 board. Now I've got the new BIOS but I can't install them.
From Win7-64bit it don't go - it says, it's not a 64bit version.
So I start a 32bit System of Win7 but it's only short open a console windows and that's all 😕
So anyone here who know how to install the BIOS file?
Many thanks in advance,
Josh

Did you ever manage to update it successfully?
