Thank you for answering so quickly. I've forgotten the BIOS PW. Thought the BIOS PW was separate from the operating system. If I have time I'll check if there's a jumper on the mainboard for this model tot performance a BIOS reset tot Factory defaults. Another workaround worth trying is to drain the BIOS battery.
