Hi @Stephen005 , There are a few things you can check or try: Drivers: Even though you’ve just bought the laptop, it’s worth checking if the GPU drivers are up to date. Sometimes new models need driver updates that improve stability. You can download the latest drivers for the RTX 4080 from Nvidia's website. Temperature Monitoring: While you mentioned the vents are clear, it’s possible that the GPU is overheating despite that. Try using a program like MSI Afterburner or HWMonitor to keep track of the GPU temperature while gaming. If the GPU is consistently reaching high temperatures (above 85°C), it could be an issue with thermal management. Power Supply: Check if your power settings are affecting the GPU's performance. In some cases, laptops may throttle performance if they’re not plugged into power or set to a lower performance mode. Ensure you're running on "High Performance" mode in the power settings. Check for System/Software Conflicts: Sometimes, specific software running in the background can cause crashes (antivirus, background apps). Try running the games in clean boot mode (with minimal background processes) to see if it affects stability. Reinstall the GPU drivers: Even if the drivers are up to date, it's a good idea to completely uninstall and reinstall them. Use a tool like DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove the current GPU driver before reinstalling a fresh copy. Factory Reset or System Recovery: If none of the above works, there could be a software issue. A factory reset might resolve underlying conflicts. Kind regards
