Why can't my cooling unit be switched on anymore?

Answer

If your cooling unit cannot be switched on at all (display or LEDs remain dark), it is obvious to check the power supply first:

• Is the plug inserted?
• Is the socket supplied with power?

To test the socket, plug in another appliance and see if it turns on. If it does not, the circuit breaker (RCD) may have tripped. Do not use extension cords or multiple sockets for testing. If the socket works, disconnect the appliance from the mains for 20 minutes and then try again. If your unit still does not work, a test by a service technician is required.

Please note that some appliances can be switched off via the temperature control. This must be at least at level 1 (see pictures).
