Hi I'm looking at buying the LG 34GP950G and I'm wondering what the best method of connecting it to this laptop would be?

HDMI 2.0 port won't be able to achieve 144hz at 2k.

Is it possible to use a usb-c to display port adapter with this device?

if it is one:
on the back you have one:
1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (DP) Display Port-Funktion
You can connect it there with the appropriate adapter
