ich habe letztens in einem Thread (Link steht ganz zum Schluss) gelesen, dass BIOS Updates durch Windows Updates oder durch den Gerätemanager durchgeführt werden. Folglich meine Frage, woher erhält Microsoft die Informationen um das Update durchzuführen und kann dabei ein eigenes Bootlogo umgeflashed werden? Würde mich auf eine Antwort freuen, danke.

zunächst lässt sich sagen, dass die Installation eines BIOS Updates nach einem ähnlichen Schema abläuft, wie bei der Installation eines Gerätetreibers. Vereinfacht gesagt gibt das jeweilige Endgerät (PC, NB, AIO) sich gegenüber Microsoft zu erkennen, wodurch über eine Abfrage der sog. Vendor IDs die Gerätekomponente spezifiziert und nach aktuellen Treibern gesucht wird. Bei einem Bios Update verhält es sich ähnlich und da gibt es auch durchaus die Möglichkeit, ein Bootlogo zu verändern.

Vereinfacht gesagt gibt das jeweilige Endgerät (PC, NB, AIO) sich gegenüber Microsoft zu erkennen, wodurch über eine Abfrage der sog. Vendor IDs die Gerätekomponente spezifiziert und nach aktuellen Treibern gesucht wird.
