How do I activate the hotspot on an Android smartphone?

Open the device settings:

1. Call up the Connections section.
2. Here you will find the option Mobile hotspot and tethering.
3. Confirm the slider at Mobile Hotspot to forward the mobile data via Wi-Fi.

You can optionally assign a name and password for the network.
Once switched on, you can search for and connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot with the device you want to use to access the internet.
