FAQs about the MEDION Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner with 3-in-1 suction station X55 SW+

FAQs about the MEDION Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner with 3-in-1 suction station X55 SW+

  • Why is the station not starting and my robot vacuum cleaner is not responding?

  • If the station does not start, you should first check the cable connection and the socket. If problems persist, it is advisable to disconnect the station completely from the power supply for 30 seconds.
If the robot does not respond, a restart usually helps. Dirty charging connections can also impair functionality. Clean these carefully.
  • Why is the suction and dust function only available to a limited extent?

  • Suction problems can have various causes:

    • A full or incorrectly inserted dust bag.
    • Blocked suction channels.
    • Incorrect positioning of the robot on the station.

If the dust bag is not recognised, try to insert it again and correctly.
  • How do I deal with water and tank problems?

  • If there is no water flow, check the fill level of the fresh water tank and its correct positioning. Possible problems can be a blocked pump or a jammed float in the tank. Filling and shaking the tank again will loosen the jammed float and the water indicator will then work.
An overflowing dirty water tank indicates that the tank has been emptied too late or that the sensor is dirty.
Make sure the tank cap is tightly closed and check the seal for dripping.
  • Why does my robot vacuum cleaner have charging and navigation problems?

  • If the robot is not charging, dirty contacts or a worn battery may be the cause. Problems with station finding are often caused by unfavourable positioning near a wall. Clean the sensors and start a new mapping if necessary.
  • How do I solve problems with control and connectivity with the app?

  • Non-executed schedules may be due to missing storage, deactivation or weak Wi-Fi signal.
If the robot is not visible in the app, update the app and check the Wi-Fi password. A skill may be missing for voice assistant access or the account may not be linked.
  • How to maintain the robot vacuum cleaner during long-term use?

  • Note the following maintenance intervals:

    • Mop: clean after every use.
    • Brushes: clean every 1-2 weeks, replace every 6 months.
    • Filter: clean monthly, replace every 3-6 months.
    • Tanks: clean every 2 weeks.

Vinegar cleaner, thorough drying of the mop and regular replacement of the activated carbon filter help to prevent odours.

  • How do I deal with special situations involving the robot vacuum cleaner (pets, standstill or faulty drying function)?

  • If there are pets in the household, increase the cleaning frequency and de-hair the brushes more frequently.
If the robot stops for no reason, carry out a soft reset and check the surroundings for virtual walls.
If there are drying problems, check the room climate and the function of the fan.
  • Additional information about the robot vacuum cleaner. (Reset factory settings, transport & storage, firmware update failed and serial number of the device)

  • Factory settings can be reset using a button or the app.
Always store the robot with empty tanks and protect it from frost.
If there are firmware update problems, update the app and check the Wi-Fi.
You can find the serial number under the dust container.
