Hi guys. I've got a Medion pc (MSN 10025122 ) with MB B660H7-M20 (MSN 20070917) and B660H7W0X.206 BIOS. Tried to update it to 2.12. Downloaded the BIOS from the link on this page https://community.medion.com/t5/FAQs/How-do-I-optimize-the-stability-of-my-desktop-PC-with-an-Intel/... and followed the installation instructions. After running the CMD as Admin and entering the command "UpdateBIOS.bat" all I have is this :

Hi! You got a PC with the MSN 10024677. Did you check the Mainboards MSN? It is printed on a small sticker on the MB.
Unfortunatly the Bios V. 2.12 is limited to some Mainboards with the MSN 20070914 or 20071254.
It is unfortunate to include the mainboard number instead of the PCs numbers which fit in the FAQs listing. Hardly any user knows this number or can find this number.
And we Super User are limited also, because nor in the Service page nor at the moment in the Intranet those specs can be looked up. In the Intranet the PCs MSN 10024677 is not found.
On the Service page the specs are missing, but usually the mainboard is listed in them , but without the corresponding MSN.

Checking your cmd protocol two things are striking: Why do you put the decompressed zip so deep into a long path; and is the "one drive" in the User path not just the table of contents of the cloud? If so this could not work.
Second the setup program searches for the VMD drivers, asks you to enable VMD controller. This most probably could be done in your Bios.

Hi @Louai ,
as already confessed you are operating a ERAZER Engineer P10 PC with an earlier revision of the ECS B660H7-M20 mainboard and Bios V 1.0x, so the update Bios 2.x is not compatible to your system.
@daddle With dozens and dozens systems containing ECS B660 mainboard, naming the every respective system would make the whole article too confusing.
Cheers

This would be great, but it looks as if you wanted to write "It did not work, inspite of the shortened path?
I can not see your picture yet.
But I wonder: your CPU-Z print in post 1 says B660H7-M20 .... V.1.0 ?
But seeing your Bios Version 206 and the given MSN 20070917 the Bios updateversion 2.12 should be the right one.
How did you got to know the mainboard MSN ?

@daddle am as confused as u re , i was able to read the msn from small sticker in the MB. It is also printed on the MB that ist is v.1.0.
Honestly it is super confusing even the bios that i have right doesn’t match the one in the manual of the motherboard from the manufacturer (ECS)
with the bios update am hoping to be able to toggle some options such as XMP etc .

Hi Major, the Mainboard is labeled MSN 20070917, but also V.1. And the Update can not be installed, but of some other reasosn, beause it does not succeed to load the necessary drivers, or to activate VDM.
There were already some more of those boards which couldn't update for the same reasons. You then said you have to check it, but so far no news?
The funny thing is, the contradictionary facts about the board. Your FAQ says it needs with the MSN 20070917 Bios V 2.12 which is set for Download..
But on the board it is labeled MSN 20070917 and V.1 . in spite of this it is equipped with Bios 2.06
A lot of "doormekaar". Please solve this gordian knot. 😏
Also with a new Bios, you will not be able to set XMP settings. It's because it is a OEM Bios, and Medion blocks a lot of features to give you a simple and unharrased experience. And you have to rely on the Medion updated Bios. For us plain Users there is no other way possible.
Cheers, daddle
