ddr5 on erazer deputy p60

Hello everyone,

I purchased an Erazer Deputy P60 (MD62594) equipped with an Intel i5 12450h processor and 16GB of DDR4. The technical documentation states that the Intel i5 processor supports DDR5 RAM, but there is no information provided regarding motherboard compatibility.

Since I want to upgrade the RAM to 32GB, do you know if the Deputy P60 supports DDR5?

Thank you very much!

Main memory is any part of RAM, small or total, independent from the slot it is put it in..But you are a bit stubborn, aren't you?

The manual and the service page tells you 32 GB is the maximum RAM which can be installed! In total!

Service page:

  • Hauptspeicher: ( main memory)  2x 8192 MB DDR4 SO-DIMM (PC4-25600/ 3200 MHz) (2/2 Slots covered; 32 GB max.)

You could try to insert 2 modules, 32 GB each. But the PC was only testet with 2 x 16GB RAM

Sorry, but If you do not believe me nor the Medion technical facts, you shouldn't   ask here at all.

Sorry, but that is how  it is.

No we do agree in so far that the boardmanufacturer designed the board for 64 GB; Medion takes it over, a so called OEM Board resp. PC, and fits it with 32 GB.

May be they did change something in  chipset or bios. That's why I did write, try 2 x32 GB, it could work.

But Medion only tested up to 2x16 GB.

But now enough in waste of time

JUST TRY What for do you actually need 64 GB? It only costs more battery endurance.

Hello @Mouth07 and welcome.
The processor supports both DDR5 and DDR4.
But the slot on the board NP50RND1 is physically designed only for DDR4 (different notches).

Thank you so much.

So the limit of the motherboard/I5 is  32 go with 3200Mhz, is it right ? No hope to push to 64go ?

Regards.

Check  the Technical Data:

-->https://www.medion.com/de/service/product-detail/30039966

If your MSN differs, you can call for it. But the technical data are the same.

You could try to insert 2 modules, 32 GB each. But the PC was only testet with 2 x 16GB RAM

Thank you for the answer.

I found the notebook manual on the forum.

For the RAM it is written : "The computer has four memory sockets for 260 pin Small Outline Dual In-line Memory Modules (SO-DIMM) supporting DDR4 Up to 3200 MHz. The main memory can be expanded up to 32GB. The total memory size is automatically detected by the POST routine once you turn on your computer. "

My english is not perfect. When it is written "the main memory" it means the total capacité for the 2 slots or the maximum capacity of each slot ?

Regards

According to Intel, your I5-12450H can: Max Memory Size 64GB Memory types/ Up to DDR4 3200 MT/s /https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/132222/intel-core-i512450h-processor-12m-cache-...

according to the clevo service manual (you have a barebone clevo NP50RND1)
you can install up to 64 GB of RAM.

Das is bekannt.

Bye, daddle

Thank you so much.

I am a little bit confused because you are not agree with daddle. But he also provide reference to technical information....so now the information depends on what we read...

I think the best thing to do is to try with 64 go and waiy for the result.

Regards.
