Erazer X40 display refresh rate in Linux

The display works perfectly on windows at 240 hz.

I'd also like to use Linux on it, where the refresh rate is stuck at 60hz. The distro is Linux Mint (based on 22.04 ubuntu), latest possible kernel I could find (6.1), latest nvidia driver (525 - googling indicated this may be a problem with Nvidia Optimus). Anyone here experienced something similar on a medion laptop and found some solution?

Msn number is 30035242.

Hi @cellux ,

first of all welcome to the MEDION Community. To receive any kind of help regarding your question we´d like you to leave a bit more information about the product you bought.
ERAZER ist just a sub-brand for PCs, laptops as well as keyboards and other gaming equiptment.
In case you own a laptop, pls have a look after the 8-digit MSN article number, that is placed underneath the backside of the lower housing cover.

After some more digging this is probably a driver / linux issue. Raptor lake support is still being actively developed.

On the bright side, higher refresh rates already work ok for external screens - after some trial and error.
