I'm getting a lot of crashes/black screens etc while gaming, including sometimes when starting or even closing gaming applications.
Current bios versions/date: american magetrends international llc n.1.23MEB08, 01/08/2023
SMBIOS version: 3.5
I see no software listed on medion downloads when I input the above MSN (40085445)
When I input the product name (Beast X40-MD 62574) I get download results available for a device with the same name, but a different MSN (3003 6108), which is weird -- not clear what the correct MSN for my product is
But anyway the bios listed under the 3003 MSN is the same one I currently have installed, so is there a new one I could try? Or some other software?
Thanks

There's now an audio problem as well.
Ever since I updated everything using the software package for my device, from Medion's site, the audio has stopped working. The realtek installer specifically, which installs 6.0.9619.1, makes audio stop working.
I've spent hours updating and reinstalling audio drivers.

Hi @gm123123 ,
are there any updates from your side regarding your ERAZER Best X40 issues?

Hello, thanks for asking
About audio: eventually I tried "reset this PC" and after reinstalling windows, the audio works.
About general crashes and shutdowns: that is still happening after the reinstall. Both during games and even with only browsers / Word open.

Hi @gm123123 ,
thanks for the FB. Regarding the "inconsistencies".. I´d think about running the medion service app to (maybe) receive potential error information.

I have ran that and it has come back all passed.
I may have found a clue from Event Viewer, after the latest time the screen went black/hanged.
Event Viewer shows a long list of critical errors, and they're all either:
A. The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video3
Error occurred on GPUID: 100
or B: The description for Event ID 14 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\Video3
- timeout error waiting for NV_UFLUSH_FB_FLUSH = 0x3 cnt=1366005
I have the newest Nvidia driver of course, and i've reinstalled, but these crashes/black screens/hanging still happen. But I noticed if you google these Event IDs to do with nvlddmkm lots of people are reporting similar errors with a range of devices and manufacturers. They're all saying it can be from a lot of different causes. So I don't have any insight how to fix it, but maybe it's not manufacturer related.

Hi @gm123123 ,
once more thanks for the investigation + feedback. Really seems to be a tricky one.I personally would think about trying some more "ancient" video drivers and check, if the stability improves and if there are specific applications, that lead to the crashes.
Cheers
