I've recently started to have a problem whereby my 6807 Erazer gaming laptop just cuts out and turns off immediately. I am using it plugged in and the power supply does feel quite hot. I have the laptop on top of a cooling pad and I don't think the laptop itself is overheating.
Any suggestions for anything I can try diagnostically - or has anyone else encountered this? It has turned off twice today and if it keeps up will obviously be going back. When I say turns off, I don't mean it "shuts down" it just goes off instantly - and this is odd as it's still on the mains power.

Hi @martinmt and welcome back to the Forum,
you've said that you don't think that the NB itself is overheating but the symptoms you have just described give me overheating as a first answer.
Have you tried to monitor the internal temperature of your NB with one of the existing tools?
Regards,
Gehringer
