I have been trying to upgrade my Medion Akoya p7618 Ram from 2 x 2 Gb ram to 2x 4 Gb ram
New ram is Crucila 4GB DDR3 L-1866 SODIMM 1.35V CL13, CT51264BF186DJ.
The Bios seem to regonize the ram as 8 GB. But thePC boots over and over again. I have this short message.
"Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. WE´´ll restart for you". If you call a support person, give them this info:
Stop code: KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURE
No problems when I put the old 2 x 2 GB ram
Any suggestions to solve my problem?

I have tried to boot into safe mode. I had the same problem.
I think it´s the Ram which is not compatible with the PC, although the store tells me, that it should be.
So I have ordered new RAM directly from Crucial now.
Then we will see how that going to work.
Thank you very much.

Dear @fink
This error is usually caused due to Memory or Driver incompatibility issues or corruption of system data.
I would suggest booting into safe mode to see if the problem still persists and if it does you will need to re-install your unit from scratch.
It is also possible that the memory sticks are faulty. Have you tried using them in another system?
Hope this helps.
