Hello,
I have a Medion AKYOA P67075 (MSN 10023704) and I wanted to upgrade the memory from the original 2 x 8GB RAM to 2 x 16 GB RAM but after installing the new RAM my computer emits 3 beeps when restarting so I guess the new memory is incompatible.
Here is the info of the original memory
Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE 8GB DDR4 3200MHz PC4-25600 1.2V 1Rx16 288 Pin UDIMM PC4-25600 1.2V 1 Rx1 Desktop RAM Memory Module
Here is the info of the new memory (photo attached):
SK Hynix HMA82GR7DJR8N - 16GB 2Rx8 PC4 32000MHz
Have I bought the wrong memory? Any suggestion would be very welcome.
Many thanks,
Patrick

Hello @patD and welcome.
Your new RAM is an RDIMM and is intended for servers and workstations. It is not suitable for a desktop computer.
The computer requires UDIMM.

Please check your computer's specifications under "Motherboard (MB ECS B460H6-EM)" in your link.

There is some misunderstanding in the above statement.
You can put DDR4 RAM with the speed 3200 MHz in, but the board only utilizes a lower speed.
As I wrote already in my former post.
That's what your original RAM also proves.
This picture is not proving anything, except your 3200 MHz RAM offers the mentioned Jedec speeds up to 1600 MHz. Also lower Jedec speeds, which means round about 1300 MHz to suite your chipset and mainboard. To see the actual speed you have to check the memory page.
An I do suppose you knew that page, which gives the correct speed your board utilizes. But seeing the possible sped in the Jedec listing you got a bit greedy. But read my post 8 again.
And be aware because it is a DDR (Double Data Rate), RAM, the working speed therefore is doubled.
Also my B460 board works with a 3200 MHz RAM, at 2600 MHz ( Jedec ~1300) maximum speed.
Below in this statement the same error, CPU-Z shows on your CPU-Z page the Jedec specifications. To see the actual ram speed check on page memory:

Yes, it drives the built in3200 MHz RAM, but at 2600 MHz only.

Thank you Fishtown for your reply and for letting me know about the reason why the memory was not compatible.
Is there any chance you could suggest a compatible memory? I would primarly be interested in ordering it on Ebay in the UK or other sites in the UK.
Many thanks again for your help.

Hello @patD
You can use any RAM that meets the following specifications:
Board ECS B460H6-EM :
Supports a maximum of DDR4 memory at 2666 MHz / 2 DDR4 memory slots for up to 32 GB / Supports dual-channel operation
See the sticker on your current RAM.
Please note, however: XMP profiles are not supported by OEM motherboards.

Hello Fishtown,
Thank you for the information.
However, I think I need 3200 MHz, according to the old memory (photo attached) and the specifications from the Medion website (https://www.medion.com/gb/service/product-detail/10023704), am I correct?
Thank you again.

Hello @patD ,
the RAM supports up to 3200 MHz, but the motherboard doesn't:
Please check your computer's specifications under "Motherboard (MB ECS B460H6-EM)" in your link.
There, under "Memory Support," it states: maximum DDR4 2666 MHz.
If you don't believe this, reinstall the old RAM and check it with CPU-Z. That's the maximum supported speed.

Hello Fishtown,
Thank you for your message.
What I am confused with is that the old RAM (original Samsung RAM) was DDR4-3200 (CPU-Z result in the photo below) and not DDR4-2666.
Should I only search for new RAM DDR4-2666 or a DDR4-3200 will work but only at 2666MHz?
I am sorry but I don't understand much about memory so I am very thankful for your help.
Will the following memory be okay?

Thank you,

Hi Patrick.,
check with the build in RAM. The sticker on it tells you what RAM you should buy.
Although the built in RAM is specified with 3200 MHz, the mainboard resp. the Chipset only utilizes 2600 MHz. That's for safety reasons. Almost never a reclamation because of faulty RAM arises.
So you buy a 3200 MHz RAM as well.
Your picture will be seen only from tomorrow on.
Bye, daddle

Hello @patD
The maximum clock speed of 3200 MHz for the RAM module is displayed in CPU-Z.
However, you should check the "SPD" tab under "Displayed Frequency"; this corresponds to the actual clock speed at the time of measurement.
This OEM motherboard supports a maximum of 2666 MHz.
