@2080rgj

The same as with my wifes E23401 with a i3 Proc. It was the M.2 SSD which was defective. I had it sent to Medion for Service; they put  a new M.2 SSD in and everything was fine.

But I myself had before replaced the M.2 with a new M.2 SSD already, and the PC had the same problems. So in fact I presume they swapped or the Mainboard or the RAM module as well.

In the service shop they charge for a new mainboard 309,-€ (seems to be the same as yours, an Iron238 BB, only yours came with an i5 Proc, 512 SSD and a 2 TB HDD. Your MSN is MSN  30026003? Correct?

They charge 309,-€, which is ridiculous. You can buy with ebay a second hand one for around 150 €, which is cheaper. If the display is defective, even much cheaper.

Cheers, daddle

Many thanks I've looked on medion site, didn't see my motherboard.  Thought M.2 couldn't get ssd faults?

So buy new ssd & M.2 + new memory

@2080rgj

I did not, and it doesn't say your problems with the PC  have the same reasons. May be, or not. Could be the MB as well.

Just go step by step.

First swap the ssd (a smaller one with 256 GB will do the job), and install Windows from scatch. You can do with the MediaCreationTool by Microsoft.

(First save the folder drivers on the HDD, plus your data from Documents/ User; if  it isn't there already.)

Thanks you. When I have time, and money

I'll get on it.

Another question, reading up saying cpu thermal paste. Renewing?  Is It possible on the motherboard I have.

Thanks again

Of course it ís. But you didn't mention a high temperature problem. But just try.

With my wifes computer it was definitely not the reason.
