I own an ERAZER BEAST X40 MD62611 UK model. I have had to re-install windows 11 some time ago, I've just realised after attempting to play some games (this may have always been the case) on the Xbox store the laptop WILL NOT auto swich between the integrated and dedicated GPU, Its a GeForce 4080. There appears to be 3 different settings that effect this, Nvidia control centre which when the igpu is on shows its on Auto switching but windows graphics settings is now used to change settings. Windows also shows the iGPU and the 4080  and states its on auto switching. The laptop itself also has the Turbo, Office, balanced settings (not sure if tis effects the switch or not). So thats 3 different peacs of software that can effect the swich, However whatever I do I CANNOT get the laptop to switch over to the dedicated GPU when gaming. Ive tried various games from Xbox and also local games I've installed, every time it uses the iGPU and I can see the 4080 not being used in task manager etc. To note: I can go into the BIOS and force the laptop to use the 4080 rather than dynamic, and this does work successfully, however means the laptop is running inefficiently and has the fans running. ...
