I'm using the machine for the most for video editing and am under transitioning away from Windows to Ubuntu. I hit a snag first time around. After going back to Windows 11 I noticed that using USB-C as screen connection the processors intergrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics is used. Using HDMI he dedicated Intel Arc A730M is used. I've written about the findings here. In Windows when connected with USB-C to external display, my video editor (Shotcut) only sees the integrated graphics, but using HDMI it uses Arc. Handbrake can utilize Arc (AV1-codec) regardless of USB-C- or HDMI-connected display. In Windows I've set Shotcut to use Intel Arc, but when connected to USB-C it doesn't. I need to know more about how to switch between the cards. * How do I enable Intel Arc A730M over USB-C in Windows? Hope an understanding of how to manipulate the cards under Windows can help me when switching to Linux. If you know then: * How do I enable Intel Arc A730M over USB-C in Ubuntu?
