thks for the update I know the medion app is not available anymore, so I was trying to get remote access by other means I tried different file explorer on android, that should support NAS They request you to be on the same network. ok - I am at home and use 192.168.1.2 as address - the same I use for a share in windows. It does not find this nas through the app so any idea which app would be able todo so ? is there a possibility to find out the NAS real internet ip address ? would it be possible to access the NAS when being on public network - not at home thanks for all help best regards, Guy

I have a nas since long time on my local network at home I can ping and access the nas with local address 19.168.1.2 when I try to connect by internet and medion file explorer : the app does not find my nas after manual entry with nas-name - user/pw it can not find it I have already reset the nas for new internet connection : local =ok remote=fail How can I check my nas is available remotely or how to attack this problem thanks for all help best regards, Guy
