remote connect to nas

I have a nas since long time on my local network at home

I can ping and access the nas with local address 19.168.1.2

when I try to connect by internet and medion file explorer : the app does not find my nas

after manual entry with nas-name - user/pw it can not find it

I have already reset the nas for new internet connection : local =ok remote=fail

How can I check my nas is available remotely or how to attack this problem

thanks for all help

best regards, Guy

Hi @przytula

Welcome top the Community.

Do you mean connecting with the Life Cloud App?

This app ist not longer accepted by Google. This could be the reason why it doesn't work.

And the App is not available at Google Play Store since the end of the last year.

Kind regards.

Iks-Jott

I once had a similar problem, but now everything is working, I hope that the developers have fixed it.

The program to recover deleted files, Recuva Piriform http://recuva.piriform.ideaprog.download/ free download for windows

thks for the update

I know the medion app is not available anymore, so I was trying to get remote access by other means

I tried different file explorer on android, that should support NAS

They request you to be on the same network. ok - I am at home and use 192.168.1.2 as address - the same I use for  a share in windows.

It does not find this nas through the app

so any idea which app would be able todo so ?

is there a possibility to find out the NAS real internet ip address ?

would it be possible to access the NAS when being on public network - not at home

thanks for all help

best regards, Guy
