Why are plastic parts melted in the microwave?

Question

Why are plastic parts melted in the microwave?

Answer

Microwave radiation can only react with organic (food) or metallic objects (cutlery / air foil). If you use the grill or hot air function, unsuitable dishes or covers may deform or melt under the high temperatures.
Damage caused by improper use is not covered by the warranty. If this is discovered after sending the unit to our workshop, you will receive a repair quotation (cost estimate) for which a charge will be made.
