reinstall windows

I have a desktop pc and the hard drive failed and I have installed new hard drive but can not find serial number to put windows back on

Hi,

Do you mean the Windows activation code?

If you have re-installed Windows it should already be activated as your motherboard should have a key assigned to it.

oh ok didnt know that just thought I would need activation code before installing it or during process of installing thanks
