@daddle @TPFLegionaire thank you both for your help. I did manage to open the laptop to upgrade the RAM. It was necessary to use a plastic pry tool such as this one (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Smart-Opening-Plastic-iPhone-Samsung/dp/B00M63PAH2/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&...) to unclip the the clips on the inside of the case without causing damage.

Hi @Roo1994
if you could give me the MSN number of the unit (8 digit number), I'll see if I can find the right schematics to help you

hi @Roo1994
our medion service site has a manual for it and drivers for windows 98 or if you are feeling brave windows ME 😉
https://www.medion.com/gb/service/product-detail/30000840?fromTopicsPage=true
That's about as far as I can go to help you with this. good luck.

@TPFLegionaire was this answer meant for my query? I'm fairly sure my core i5 laptop wouldn't support windows 98 or ME 😛

doh!
You are absolutely right....having said that , I can send you a manual if you PM me your email, it does not have a schematic to dismantle it ….
What are you trying to fix? Is this not under warranty anymore?

I can add the link for the normal english manual;
--> https://bda.medion.com/bda_s6446_S6445_p6646_p6645_e6246_e6245_en.pdf
--> https://bda.medion.com/flyer_40071280.pdf Sorry, german only.
With your given MSN 30026123 the service page stays empty; it lists the PC, but no manual nor drivers can be
downloaded. They are simply missing.
But make use of this MSN 30026120, it will give you a drivers package and a list of manuals for download.
@TPFLegionaire Your link only leads to the empty service page, sorry.
regards, daddle
