Just call Disk Management page  Win Tab plus R  --> enter diskmgmt.msc  ---> Enter and check if on the booting disk (the disk which contains Partition C:\ ) you can see if at the end of the disk a last partition is there called  "OEM " 1 GB in size. It also could be named "Recover", but it has to be  at the end of disk and being 1 GB in size.

Not to be confused with the Windows RE(scue) partition, which is directly following the C: partition.

If yes, you definitely cannot use RAM with XMP settings, as Windows does not allow XMP settings on computers with OEM (Medion) BIOS.

Bye, daddle

Edit:

I just read the Manual in the english version)   https://cdn.medion.com/downloads/anleitungen/bda_16x_1_beast_en.pdf ) in chapter 20.2.  from page 28 on, that the Medion Recovery of the delivery state now  is included in the Win RE. But at least you have then to have in the D-partition  ( or  E:\ ) a folder Recover with the  Medion Image.

Hi @daddle ,

Again, thank you for taking the time to do this.

You are correct, see the image attached.

Does that mean it is not compatible? with no workaround, different Tongfang bios perhaps.

No that is not what I mean.  Win 11 or rather Medion has changed Recover capabilities like the  manual page chapter 20.2 suggests. So there is no OEM partition 1 GB anymore at the end of the disk, but the Windows rescue partition is swollen from roundabout 800 to 900 MB up to 4 GB - so like the manual says the restitution to the factory like image is integrated in Win RE, (which now counts ca..4 GB).   And is now called  Recovery partitition)

So this is not anymore indirectly giving a hint if there is a OEM Bios installed.

If it is a original Tongfang Bios, then it could support  RAM with XMP profiles. But is the mainboard  AIS X6AR55XY Beast 16 X1 a Tongfang board?

Sincerely, daddle

Ahhh understood!

Yes, in the bios the baseboard version is X6AR5 which I believe from research is a Tongfang board, similar to other vendors.

The memory will be here for the weekend, so will test and find out I guess 😅.

Thank you for the knowledge and input. I will let you know if your interested!
