Medion Akoya E7222 MSN 3001 4656 Bios

Hello Community

I am starting to try and upgrade a windows 10 Akoya E7222 MSN 3001 4656. First step was a new battery but this is not charging (0% available (plugged in)) after numerous remove the battery hold down the power button 30 sec re install battery nothing, also numerous uninstalls of the Microsoft AC adapter and Microsoft ACPI complaint control method battery drivers still nothing. I have changed power plans, run power troubleshooter and updated windows still no charging for me. Sad face.

This could be a defective new battery but may it also be a dated bios not supporting new higher capacity battery?

Current bios is American Megatrends Inc 206 13/04/12. I am unable to find any bios versions based on my MSN number from the Medion site.

Relative noobe at such things so any assistance/advice received with thanks.
