E16401 MD62264 Audio Drivers

Hello community!

I bought a Medion Akoya E16401 MD62264 without OS. I have installed W10 Pro and everything OK except for the audio drivers. I have tried with all windows updates, with the Intel Driver and support Assistant (it doesn't detect that I am missing audio drivers), I have tried to install generic Realtek drivers and nothing... I have downloaded from the Medion website the audio drivers, but there is no .exe. I don't know what else to do. The windows troubleshooter tells me there is no problem, but it tells me there are no speakers or headphones connected. The only possibility I have is to use bluetooth speakers. I don't know what else I can do.

Any ideas? thank you very much and best regards.

Hi @lpnhro

I would install HID filter driver MEDION AKOYA E1541x/E1640x Notebook.

If that doesn't work for you, download and unzip it. Now look for the drivers via the device manager and install them via the device manager, see here:

You can turn on the lighting with "Fn + space bar
you set the duration in the bios:

Useful: Have you already run the Medion Service App? https://www.medion.com/gb/service/service-app

Hello @lpnhro  and welcome
I have an e16401 with Win11 ex works.

you can find drivers on the medion service page: https://www.medion.com/de/service/product-detail/30031780

you have to download and unpack( Extract) the drivers (zip) (important).

First delete the old sound drivers in the device manager.
Then install the new ones from the service site either manually or reboot the computer and it will install them itself but you have to tell it where (source) to install them from.

bye Fishtown

Hello @Fishtown ,

thank you very much for your response. I have downloaded them before, but there is no .exe. I run the file "_install.cmd", it opens the console and gives me examples of actions, I run the action to import and install the driver package, it closes and nothing happens.

Best regards.

I have solved it!

I installed the generic Realtek driver downloaded from their website:

https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-softw...

And it works perfectly. It took a couple of hours to download due to Asian servers (I can imagine), but it was worth it.

Now I'm missing the keyboard illumination, I don't know what driver is needed for it. I do not know if anyone can guide me, should I close this topic and open a new one?

Thank you very much and best regards.
