Keylogger

Definition

A Keylogger is a malicious software (Malware) with the purpose of recording user keyboard inputs. This data, being sent to the recipient, is searched and analyzed for login credentials, banking information and personal data.

Often, these are hidden behind supposedly useful software (Trojan). Originally, the keylogger was used in law enforcement investigations.
