The graphical user interface (GUI) is a communication interface between users and their devices. It is used to display and map symbols and software. The most common ways to operate a device with a GUI are touch screens, pens, computer mices, keyboards and buttons or switches attached to a device.
The biggest advantage of graphical interfaces is that users can see how their devices response to an input.
