Definition

SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) is not yet firmly defined and is used to determine/classify worksites and their associated computer networks.

SOHO networks or SOHO workstations are designed for freelancers and for very small companies. The hardware and software may comply with certain specifications. For example, compliance with the Data Protection Policy or other IT security features.

Some specifications are set by law and are no different from the workstations of a large company. Some requirements are defined by the employer to provide additional security or quality.
