A computer worm (worm) is a malicious program (malware) with the ability to duplicate itself once it has been executed. Unlike a computer virus, a worm spreads without infecting other files or boot sectors with its code. The worm is designed to spy on or steal data from users and their programs. As no other data is infected, worms stay longer undetected.
