the adapter is designed for B-key, but your P5 Plus M.2 2280 CT 1000P5pssd8 has an M-key.
so you need another adapter.

on any computer with a USB interface (note the version).

as far as your actual msata interface and its adapter are concerned, there are msata cards for this, however, these are relatively expensive and small in terms of memory and their maximum speed. 500MB/s
I think you are better off with an external adapter for the PCIe P5.
