Why does my stick vacuum cleaner build up static electricity?
In rooms with low humidity, a stick vacuum cleaner can become statically charged during use.
This can cause small electric shocks when metal parts are touched. These electrostatic discharges are unpleasant, but not dangerous and do not indicate a defect in the device.
